Grand National Day One, 3rd April 2025: HWR Summary
🐎 Gidleigh Park (1:45pm) PLACED 2nd, 9/1
Went down on his sword to the short price favourite. He jumped Superbly apart from the second last, and ultimately that was the difference between winning or losing.
Sometimes we lose and smile because our selection gave us their all, great effort Gidleigh Park!
🐎 Naturally Nimble (2:20pm)
Fell 3 out already struggling after nearly brought down by a faller when travelling well.
Another day for this lad.
🐎 Famous Clermont (4:05pm)
Took the wide route, lost ground at the canal turn, never recovered completed a National Course for a second time
🐎 My Maite Mozzie (4:40pm)
Cut up going into a fence early on tracked leaders going well 4 out faded out of things
🐎 Spillane's Tower (2:55pm)
Non Runner.
Away from Aintree we had a 6/4 winner at Sedgefield, Jackpot Cash.
Grand National Day Two, 4th April 2025: HWR Summary
🐎 Be Aware (2:20pm)
He has a big race in him; we will keep an eye on him for now.
🐎 Hansard (2:20pm)
Travelled well but didn’t stay the extra distance.
🐎 Excello (4:05pm)
Came with a real chance approaching 2 out and nearly fell at one of Aintree's softest fences. We will never know, what we do know is he's well handicapped and due soon!
🐎 Crest Of Fortunes (4:40pm) PLACED 3rd, 50/1
Travelled well behind leaders, caught behind runners 4 out, stayed on strongly for 3rd at 50/1.
🐎 Julius Des Pictons (4:40pm) WINNER, 28/1
Ridden to get the trip, travelled sweetly made a mistake 4 out quickly recovered to pounce on the run in at 28/1
Away from Aintree we had a 9/1 winner at Galway, Noble Consort.
Grand National Day Three, 5th April 2025: HWR Summary
🐎 Bill Joyce (1:20pm)
Cruising in behind, fell 4 out.
🐎 Shanagh Bob (1:20pm)
Travelled well for a long way, faded out of it after 2 out.
🐎 Castle Carrock (1:55pm)
Travelled well during the race but unable to quicken close home.
🐎 Iroko (4pm) PLACED 4th, 10/1
Ran a cracker running on for 4th.
🐎 Heltenham (2:30pm)
Non-Runner.
🐎 Kalif Du Berlais (5pm) WINNER, 2/1
Made the running jumping well in front, went away at the finish to win cosily at 2/1.
Away from Aintree, we had a 6/4 winner at Chepstow, Ninth Loch, and two placed horses at Newcastle and Wolverhampton, Cerendipity was 3rd at 7/2, and Epicurian Lad was 4th at 16/1.
